Nils Kaageson-Loe
Nils Kaageson-Loe received his bachelor’s degree in exploration geophysics from University College London in 1989 and his doctorate in engineering geomechanics from Imperial College London in 1993.
Over 30 years, working on extensive international assignments, he has developed deep and broad expertise in subsurface geoscience, drilling, completions, and reservoir flow assurance. He started his career in Norway with what is now Equinor, before joining BP and then crossing the service aisle to Schlumberger, later Halliburton and now Baker Hughes.
Nils has led pioneering and game changing technology teams for maximizing reservoir drainage and recovery focusing on extended reach and multi-lateral horizontal well design; and lower completion design, integrity & deployment including sand control, perforating, gas lift, EOR, stimulation and multiphase flow assurance.
Nils joined Baker Hughes in 2021 as Technology Director for Drilling and Completion Fluids and was then promoted to lead the Engineering & Technology organization for Artificial Lift Systems and the Production Solutions business segment in 2023.
