AbdulRahman (popularly called ‘AR’) Mijinyawa is currently the General Manager, Development and Subsurface for Shell Nigeria. In this capacity, he leads an organization that delivers competitive end-to-end subsurface outcomes across project lifecycle covering exploration, development, well delivery, asset operations optimization, reserves assurance and reporting in support of business targets and priorities. These priorities include delivering Nigeria’s oil production, export, and
domestic gas supply obligations. AR also support and steer Shell Nigeria's non-operated venture interests and represent the business on various external committees as a member of the country’s leadership team. In delivering this, he interfaces with governmentregulators, joint-venture partners, numerous contractors, and our host communities, to maximize value safely, ethically, and sustainably for all our stakeholders. AR ensures resource estimation, classification, and reporting compliance with relevant international and local standards and authorities. He also oversees geo-solutions operations in Nigeria and drives the front-end project transformation agenda and implementation for Shell towards ensuring capital efficiency, schedule management/alignment and quality preservation.
