Sima Al Droubi
Sima Al Droubi is a seasoned HR leader with 20 years of experience in the dynamic oil and gas industry. As the Head of Human Resources & Administration at Dragon Oil, she has been instrumental in transforming HR functions into strategic business enablers that drive organizational success.
Her career began in 2005 with Schlumberger in Dubai, where she took on various roles across the Middle East & North Africa, specializing in Compensation & Benefits across the MENA region. In 2012, she joined Dragon Oil, where she held several leadership positions at the Group level, including HR Strategic Planning & Business Development, Head of Talent Management, and Head of Business Development.
Through her accelerated career progression, Sima has honed her expertise in:
- HR Transformation – Redesigning HR frameworks to enhance agility, employee engagement, and alignment with business goals.
- Talent Optimization – Developing leadership pipelines, upskilling workforces, and implementing data-driven retention strategies.

In 2025, Sima earned the prestigious Fellowship of the CIPD (FCIPD)—the highest level of recognition in the field, awarded to professionals who drive long-term value through strategic insight and people expertise. She also holds a Master’s Degree in International Human Resources Management from Manchester Metropolitan University, where her thesis focused on the “Talent Gap in Oil & Gas Amid the Energy Transition.”
Beyond her professional career, Sima is also an avid artist, exploring various mediums such as pencil, watercolor, and oil painting.
