Hilmi Panigoro has over 43 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, holding various leadership positions throughout his career. At MedcoEnergi, he has served as President Commissioner (2008–2015), President Director (2001–2008), and Director (1998–2001).

Since his appointment as President Director of MedcoEnergi in November 2015, Hilmi has been instrumental in driving the company’s strategic growth and sustainability initiatives. He also serves as a member of the Sustainability & Risk Management Committee, as well as Director and Commissioner for several companies within the MedcoEnergi group.

Born in Bandung, Indonesia, Hilmi earned a degree in Geological Engineering from ITB in 1981, completed the MBA Core Program at Thunderbird University (USA) in 1984, and obtained an MSc from the Colorado School of Mines (USA) in 1988.
