Imad Abdullah Bait Abaidoon
Imad Bait Abaindoon is a Senior Lab Analyst at OQBI. He holds a BSc in Chemistry, which he earned from the University of Technology and Applied Science in 2017. Imad has achieved notable successes across various fields.
In 2019, he secured first place in the Alroay Award with his project on organic solar cells. The following year, in 2020, he received the Gold Prize in the Environmental category at the International Invention Fair in the Middle East for his electrochemical water treatment project. He has also earned second place in the Salalah Sanitary Drainage Services Company Award for a project related to sanitation.
In 2022, Imad took first place at the Oman Petroleum Energy Show (OPES 2022) in the Energy Transition section with his organic solar cell project. He represented Oman at the Falling Well Competition in Germany with the OMMOFs project. Later that year, he was honored with the Best Research Award at the 1st Gulf Chemistry Association event.
In 2023, Imad won the OPAL Award for Energy Transition with his organic solar cell (OSC) project and its applications. In 2024, he represented Oman at ITEX 2024 in Malaysia, where he earned a Gold Award for his wastewater treatment project using the electrochemical method.
