Mr. Siddharth Malik leads investments at the $25 billion India-based Jindal Group, a diversified industrial conglomerate with global interests in mining, iron & steel, energy, and renewable power. He is also the Chief Executive Officer of Vulcan Green, an innovative investment platform focused on developing round-the-clock renewable power, low-carbon hydrogen, and low-carbon iron & steel plants in the GCC region. Mr. Malik spearheads the development of a 12 GW renewable portfolio comprising solar, wind, and long-duration energy storage assets to deliver low-carbon energy for decarbonizing the manufacturing sector. Previously, he founded and led the Energy Transition and Corporate PPA business at a NYSE-listed renewable energy IPP with a 7.4 GW clean energy portfolio. As a successful entrepreneur in industrial decarbonization, Mr. Malik also founded a company offering technology and solutions for the electrification of industrial process heat, growing the business to rank among the top five globally in the International Climate Initiative’s list. As CEO, he successfully raised private capital and led M&A transactions, resulting in profitable investor exits. With over 20 years of experience leading infrastructure businesses across the US, Asia, and the Middle East, Mr. Malik specializes in cleantech investing, risk management, project development, project finance, and strategy. A TED speaker and a recognized expert on decarbonization, he is widely featured in the media and global forums. He also serves as an invited member at the highest levels of policymaking and holds several patents related to energy technology and systems to his name. Mr. Malik holds a Master’s degree in engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, USA.
