09 Improved or Advanced Oil Recovery

Wednesday, 16 April
Area D3
Technical and Invited Presenter
This session will cover a variety of novel and innovative studies regarding improved and/or enhanced oil recovery. The topics are wide ranging and include water flooding opportunities and screening criteria, and cyclic injection methods (Huff-n-Puff).  Specific talks on water flooding will include an overall water flooding screening criteria for Montana legacy fields and a full technical and economic appraisal of water flood feasibility in the Cuthbertson Field in Dewitt, TX.  Huff-n-Puff topics will include a general overview of Huff-n-Puff projects in the US, a successful Eagle Ford y-grade injection project in SW Texas, and novel well stimulation techniques coupled with Woodford Huff-n-Puff in Oklahoma.  Along with a special presentation on enhanced oil recovery in America’s Unconventional Plays, highlighting on a successful EOR Pilot in the Anadarko Basin.
