Global energy organisations are facing a significant challenge
in meeting carbon reduction targets while ensuring an economic and sustainable energy supply. Therefore, this first edition of the SPE international symposium and exhibition in Kuwait will include a two-day programme that will focus on sustainable energy production development and operational decarbonisation.
The symposium's agenda covers a rich collection of sessions, including panel discussions, technical, and ePoster presentations. It promises to introduce an SPE event where the brightest minds and professionals can explore the latest developments and innovations in oil and gas technologies and practices required to solve the most pressing challenges in the low-carbon energy production and development. This includes advancements in techniques for subsurface characterisation, modern WRFM, smart wells technology and intervention, drilling, and completion operations. The discussion will also cover energy transitions; geothermal, CCUS, and renewable energy; ML/AI applications in the industry; and business management.

ATTENDING THIS SYMPOSIUM SUPPORTS THE E&P INDUSTRY
The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) is a not-for-profit organisation. Income from this event will be invested back into SPE to support many other Society programmes.
When you attend an SPE event, you help provide even more opportunities for industry professionals to enhance their technical and professional competence. Scholarships, certification, the Distinguished Lecturer programme, and SPE’s energy education programme Energy4me® are just a few examples of programmes supported by SPE.
