Amjaad Al-Qahtani

Amjaad Al-Qahtani is the head of the CCS Market & Competitive Intelligence Group at the Carbon Capture and Sequestration (CCS) Department at Saudi Aramco. She has over 14 years of experience in life-cycle assessment, carbon management technologies, and hydrogen systems. Previously, Amjaad led the Energy Traceability Technology Group, managing “The Archie Initiative”, a project that combines together the expertise of academia and industry to provide transparent carbon intensity estimates across the global oil and gas supply chain.
She holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Leeds and an MSc and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering with a specialization in sustainability from Imperial College London. Amjaad has also authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed articles in high-impact journals, focusing on sustainability and the energy transition.
