Sarah Karthigan is the VP of Artificial Intelligence at Weatherford.  In this role she is responsible for launching the AI practice and driving business innovation, advancement and transformation through the strategic application of AI across the corporation.  She joined Weatherford in 2024.

Sarah started her professional career at ExxonMobil. In her 18 years there, she held various roles of increasing responsibility before becoming the Global AI Executive and Head of AI Operations.  In 2022, she became the GM of Strategy and Innovation at Chevron to lead the design and execution of the Enterprise Data Strategy.  

She is a reputed leader in leading digital transformation initiatives in the energy industry.  She is also a strong advocate for STEM programs.  In 2021, she was named one of the top 25 Influential Women in Energy in recognition of her outstanding work to accelerate AI adoption, enabling data-driven decision-making across the oil and gas value chain.  In 2024, she was named as one of the top 150 executives driving business transformation.  Sarah has a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from TTU.  She also has advanced graduate credentials from Harvard and Columbia University.
