BIO

Hiroaki Ono is a research associate professor at the Research Institute for Hydrogen Industrial Use and Storage (HYDROGENIUS) at Kyushu University, specializing in the study of polymeric materials used in hydrogen energy systems. His research focuses on the effect of high-pressure hydrogen gas exposure on polymeric materials, including rubbers and plastics. He has contributed to several projects and publications in this field, advancing the understanding of material performance in hydrogen environments. Recently, he has been conducting an analysis of data from hydrogen refueling stations to better understand the practical situations in which polymeric materials are used. As a result, Hiroaki Ono is now interested in leveraging previous understanding and data analysis results to establish evaluation methods for polymeric materials and contribute to the development of these materials.
