I hold a PhD in Chemistry, specialisation in inorganic chemistry. After my PhD I did 2 post doctoral research topics at the university before I started as an R&D Engineer for a flooring company. My main focus of investigations was in silica based inorganic chemistry for various applications. After 2.5 years I was recruited by Bekaert where I started as a process engineer in extrusion. Here I set up various extrusion processes for steel cord. In 2020 I switched to product development and became responsible for Flexisteel® for the hoisting industry and for our Armofor® tape for the reinforcement of SRTPs in the Oil and Gas industry.
