Suleyman Deveci, Manager of the Infrastructure Centre of Excellence at the Borouge Innovation Centre in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), holds M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Chemical Engineering from Yildiz Technical University, Istanbul, Turkiye. He joined Borouge Pte. Ltd. in January 2012, and since then has held various scientific research roles within the company, contributing to product development, technical service, marketing, and intellectual property rights (IPR) departments. He led the establishment of a cutting-edge plastic pipe processing and testing facility and mentored a team dedicated to plastic pipe processing and testing.

In his current position, Suleyman Deveci leads a team focused on maximizing the value of polyolefin materials in demanding engineering applications. He represents the UAE at multiple ISO technical committees and working groups related to plastic pipes and pipe testing. Additionally, he serves on the research board of The Welding Institute (TWI), and he is a board member at the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) Middle East Section. In 2023, he was appointed as the chairman of the PE100+ Association Technical Committee. He holds numerous international patents and has co-authored more than forty peer-reviewed journal and conference papers.
