The Curtis Blount Outstanding Paper Award: SPE and ICoTA recognize the efforts necessary to produce a great quality technical paper, so each year the Program Committee selects the most outstanding paper to be distinguished with the Curtis Blount Outstanding Paper Award. The conference Program Committee vice chair, Carlos Tores will announce this year's winner.

ICoTA Intervention Technology Award: Each year, ICoTA presents its Intervention Technology Award to a recipient who has recently brought forth new technology to the well intervention market. Its purpose is to recognize, acknowledge, and encourage the development and application of innovation in this area of the industry. For a candidate to be considered, the submission must demonstrate either some new, groundbreaking use of existing technology or the application of a new technology, with that technology having been applied commercially in the previous 18 months. Chris Schneider, senior chairman of ICoTA will announce this year's winner.
