Driving Innovation in CCS and Low Carbon Fuel Solutions

As the Asia Pacific region navigates the critical period leading up to 2030 — a pivotal year for climate change mitigation — energy transition and sustainability are becoming integral to the core business strategies of organisations committed to addressing environmental and societal challenges. What were once theoretical concepts, such as CCS (Carbon Capture and Storage), CCUS (Carbon Capture, Utilisation, and Storage), and low-carbon fuels, have now evolved into practical projects that demand immediate action and global collaboration.

The SPE/JAPT Workshop: CCUS and Low Carbon Fuels, co-hosted by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and the Japanese Association for Petroleum Technology (JAPT), will provide a platform for participants to delve into the latest technological advancements and projects related to CCS, CCUS, and low-carbon fuels. Discussion topics will encompass CO2 storage, CO2 utilisation and clean hydrogen/ammonia supply, addressing both technical and regulatory challenges.
