We will be exploring the geology of Muscat area, the preserved Permo-Triassic succession of Khuff and Sudair equivalents in the subsurface.

Participants will have the opportunity to visit a breathtaking succession of the unique Oman Ophiolite (Cretaceous) which is one of the preserved world-class geological heritages, exposing oceanic crust and upper mantle.

Late Paleocene- early Eocene succession (Jafnayn Formation) illustrating series of fluvial to transitional marine clastic deposits and gradually changing into shallow marine carbonates will also be visited and examined in Wataya area.
