Senior Drilling Engineer Production and Operation (P&O) - wells, bp

Amr is a Senior Drilling Engineer with +14 years’ experience in planning, coordinating, and executing onshore and offshore wells. Amr joined BP in 2010 as a drilling challenger and since then he has held various positions across different regions within BP. Amr has worked in a wide range of diverse environments from HPHT land operation in Egypt Nile Delta and high angle mutli-pad wells in Iraq to deep water drilling operations in Egypt (Mediterranean and Guld of Suez) and North Sea (West of Shetland). Amr also stretched his knowledge working as a senior tubular design specialist with BP solutions team supporting different regions remotely from Cairo and also with the CCUS team in the UK drilling the data acquisition borehole for the CCUS project in the southern North Sea.

During his role as a senior tubular design specialist, Amr published an SPE paper about the work he participated in to maximise the reservoir recovery in Raven field in Egypt through re-evaluating the integrity of tubulars and failure-based analysis.

 

Amr most recent role was a senior drilling engineer based in Aberdeen supporting the deep-water exploration team in West of Shetland. Amr moved back to Cairo in July 2023 to support East Nile Delta development campaign and West Nile Delta Exploration.
