Malek Elgmati is a reservoir team lead at TAQA Well Solutions in Libya. Previously, he worked for 12 years with Hess Corporation in Houston as an advisor reservoir engineering and 2 years with Schlumberger in Libya as a reservoir engineer. Most of his experience includes depletion planning, reservoir management, simulation, well logging, pressure transient analysis and shale-gas rock characterization. Recently, Elgmati coauthored multiple SPE papers about shale-gas submicron pore tomography and Flow-After-Flow Testing. He holds a BSc degree in petroleum engineering from University of Tripoli, and an MS degree in petroleum engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology.
