Casing deformations are known to cause access and functionality issues in multi-fractured horizontal wells within certain basins globally and are the subject of considerable ongoing focus within industry and the SPE. While casing deformation occurrences can hinder well operations and erode economics, many of the strategies and technologies used for managing the impact of deformations have been deployed and advanced in the Canadian oil and gas industry, and technologies continue to emerge. This 90-minute interactive panelist session will provide Workshop attendees with operator perspectives related to their casing deformation experience and path forward. The moderated session will be designed to engage the audience and encourage participation with panelists and other attendees.
