Value Creation Through Digital E&P

Digital, Data Analytics, and Automation (DDAA) offer the potential to improve operational efficiency across various areas of the upstream value chain, directly impacting HSE, business management, recovery rates, and enabling faster and more efficient field developments and infrastructure. Moreover, DDAA enhances the capability of harnessing data to gain better insights and make faster decisions, leading to the retooling of human skills towards operational efficiency.

Since the inception of DDAA into E&P almost a decade ago, it continues to remain a crucial catalyst in the industry. DDAA has quickly impacted how we work by responding rapidly to real-time information, generating actionable insights, and challenging current practices. Hence, the utilisation of DDAA has been pivotal in enabling the transformation towards a more sustainable and cost-effective energy ecosystem. Furthermore, the efforts are continually evolving as technology advances and businesses adapt to the changing market dynamics and customer expectations.

Obstacles in the DDAA journey include change management, enterprise architecture, deployment, and scaling up. Solutions are not always finite, as many digital applications are customised for specific use cases and the potential is unlimited. Many organisations deployed various digital initiatives with mixed results. Several of these initiatives failed to be sustainable and were decommissioned as they did not bring value.

This workshop aims to conduct a pulse check of the industry, evaluate our headings, and showcase the success of digital projects that can add value to the current and future of E&P businesses.

We invite the industry to participate and learn through expert-led technical presentations, interactive discussion sessions, sharing of emerging technologies/case studies, and bridging the expert scarcity gap through professional networking opportunities and potential collaborative efforts.

COUNTDOWN TO THE EVENT!

ATTENDING THIS WORKSHOP SUPPORTS THE E&P INDUSTRY

The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) is a not-for-profit organisation. Income from this event will be invested back into SPE to support many other Society programmes.

When you attend an SPE event, you help provide even more opportunities for industry professionals to enhance their technical and professional competence. Scholarships, certification, the Distinguished Lecturer programme, and SPE’s energy education programme Energy4me® are just a few examples of programs supported by SPE.
