This workshop will provide a comprehensive overview of gas field development activities in the region, facilitating knowledge exchange and collaboration among stakeholders involved in this field. The programme will cover the entire lifecycle of gas field development, from initial exploration and appraisal to development planning and production. Attendees will learn about the latest technological innovations, exploration and production strategies, geological and geophysical techniques, and operational strategies that have contributed to successful gas field projects in the region and beyond.
With increasing activity in Block B, Vietnam, insights and discussions will also focus on the unique challenges and solutions encountered during its exploration. This will offer valuable insights into Block B's geological characteristics and the advanced methods used to address them.
Featuring international and domestic experts and stakeholders in the gas industry, the sessions will highlight successes and lessons learned, exploring the gas field value chain from an upstream perspective to provide a detailed understanding of the interconnected processes that drive value creation and investment opportunities. Additionally, it will examine the environmental and regulatory aspects crucial to sustainable gas field development, particularly within the regional context. Emphasis will be placed on addressing the challenges inherent in maximising value from gas field projects while adopting current best practices in technology, cost management, and risk mitigation. This holistic approach aims to equip participants with the knowledge to manage and mitigate risks, estimate costs effectively, and to plan and execute gas field development projects successfully, positioning them to capitalise on future prospects.
