Reporting compliant recoverable volumes has become increasingly important as a driving force behind various business decisions across National Oil Companies (NOCs), International Oil Companies (IOCs), small and medium-sized operators, and regulators operating in the turbulent energy environment. Our goal is to leverage industry expertise to discuss how to navigate the changing world of Reserves and Resources in the context of the PRMS.
To achieve these objectives, we aim to facilitate collaboration and the exchange of insights within the industry through the use of ongoing examples of how effective resource and reserves management is accomplished using case studies and methods such as modelling, reservoir simulation, decline curve analyses, and data analytics. Additionally, we will also address specific regulatory considerations and compliance requirements relevant to resource and reserves reporting and management for varying jurisdictions in the Asia Pacific region.
The workshop aims to empower participants with the technical knowledge, tools, and strategic insights necessary to navigate the complexities of conventional and unconventional reserves assessment, reporting, and decision-making in today's rapidly evolving energy sector. The workshop will also discuss several PRMS-related documents and guidance released by SPE in recent years including updated Application Guidelines, PRMS Frequently Asked Questions, Extension of PRMS Principles to Non-Traditional Situations.
