Innovation and Collaboration to Advance Deepwater Frontiers

The SPE Symposium: Asia Pacific Deepwater is scheduled to take place on 22–23 September 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The deepwater industry continues to play a vital role in the global energy landscape, offering vast untapped resources while driving technological advancements that enhance exploration, production, and sustainability. As operators, service providers, and regulators navigate the evolving energy transition, collaboration and innovation remain essential in unlocking new frontiers and ensuring operational resilience.

The SPE Symposium: Asia Pacific Deepwater, taking place from 22–23 September 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is a premier technical gathering dedicated to addressing the latest challenges and opportunities in deepwater exploration and production (E&P) across the Asia Pacific region. With deepwater capital expenditure consistently reaching USD 60–70 billion annually[1], the symposium will serve as a pivotal platform for industry leaders, technical experts, and decision-makers to exchange knowledge and shape the future of deepwater development.

COUNTDOWN TO THE EVENT!

ATTENDING THIS SYMPOSIUM SUPPORTS THE E&P INDUSTRY

The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) is a not-for-profit organisation. Income from this event will be invested back into SPE to support many other Society programmes.

When you attend an SPE event, you help provide even more opportunities for industry professionals to enhance their technical and professional competence. Scholarships, certification, the Distinguished Lecturer programme, and SPE’s energy education programme Energy4me® are just a few examples of programmes supported by SPE.
