Water management is a multi-disciplinary subject that needs an integrated approach. This 2.5-day workshop aims to serve as an open platform to discuss how to achieve economical and operational excellence.
Nowadays, the scenario is more challenging, as the world moves towards a low carbon economy and environmental regulations are stricter. Water management is a subject that involves multiple disciplines such as reservoir, topside and well integrity. Therefore, in oilfield operations, it needs to be performed in an integrated way. The only way to achieve the best solutions, in operational and economical terms, is to look at problems like water treatment, water quality for both injection and disposal, reinjection of produced water, increase in water cut and all the relevant environmental challenges faced by the oil industry as parts of a puzzle that only works as a whole. Water management is more critical in offshore environment, due to small areas adding large equipment to treat injected and produced water and the higher costs of logistics, drilling, and workover.
This workshop will evaluate ways to achieve better economical and operational results and optimize cost, through discussions and lessons learned on reservoir management, flow assurance, water treatment, materials, and environmental regulations.
